Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 7 May 2026 Effective from: 15 January 2025 Governing law: New Zealand

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the NZ Roids website at www.nzsteroids.co.nz and any pharmacy services we provide. By browsing the site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

NZ Roids operates as a registered New Zealand pharmacy. We comply with the Medicines Act 1981, the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand’s Code of Ethics, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

1. About these Terms

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and NZ Roids Limited NZBN 9429051234567, of 142 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby, Auckland 1011.

You should also read our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To use NZ Roids, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian
  • Be a resident of New Zealand with a valid delivery address in New Zealand
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering or ordering
  • Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with anyone else

You are responsible for any activity carried out under your account. Notify us immediately at support@nzroids.co.nz if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Prescriptions

Prescription medicines may only be supplied against a valid prescription from a registered New Zealand prescriber. By submitting a prescription, you confirm that:

  • The prescription is genuine, current, and was issued to you
  • You have not had it dispensed elsewhere
  • The information you provide about your health and any other medications is accurate

Our pharmacists may contact your prescriber to verify a prescription. We may, in our professional judgement and consistent with the Pharmacy Council Code of Ethics, decline to dispense a prescription where there is a clinical, safety, or legal concern. In such cases we will explain why and refund any payment received.

Important: Submitting a forged, altered, or fraudulent prescription is a criminal offence under the Medicines Act 1981 and the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975. Suspected fraud will be reported to the relevant authorities.

4. Orders and acceptance

Listings on the NZ Roids website are an invitation to treat, not an offer. When you place an order, you make us an offer to purchase. A contract is formed only when we send a confirmation that your order has been accepted and (for prescription items) clinically reviewed and dispensed.

We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including where:

  • A prescription is invalid, expired, or cannot be verified
  • A pharmacist has clinical concerns about supply
  • Stock is unavailable or pricing is incorrect
  • We suspect the order is fraudulent or breaches these Terms

5. Pricing and payment

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST where applicable. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted. Delivery and any pharmacist consultation fees are shown before checkout.

We accept the payment methods listed at checkout. Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider; NZ Roids does not store full card details. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method you choose.

If a price is displayed in obvious error (for example, a clear pricing mistake), we are not obliged to supply the product at the incorrect price and will refund any amount paid.

6. Delivery

We deliver throughout New Zealand using tracked courier services. Estimated delivery times are:

  • Metropolitan areas: 2 to 3 working days after dispensing
  • Rural addresses: 3 to 5 working days after dispensing
  • Urgent prescriptions: next working day where requested and available

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. If no one is available to sign and the courier leaves the parcel, you accept any risk associated with that. Please ensure the delivery address is secure and accessible.

Some prescription medicines require an adult signature on delivery. We may also require photo ID for controlled drugs.

For full shipping details, see our Shipping Policy.

7. Cancellations and returns

You may cancel an order before it is dispensed by contacting orders@nzroids.co.nz. Once a prescription has been dispensed, the order cannot be cancelled.

For safety and regulatory reasons, prescription medicines cannot be returned for refund or exchange once dispatched, except where:

  • The product is faulty or defective
  • The wrong product was supplied
  • The product was damaged in transit

If any of the above applies, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund. Non-prescription products may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in their original condition.

8. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other consumer protection law in New Zealand. Where you acquire goods or services from us for personal use, those rights apply in addition to anything stated here.

9. Medical disclaimer

You may view, download, and print pages from the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, or republication, requires our prior written consent.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer rights described in Section 8:

  • Our total liability to you arising from or in connection with any order is limited to the price you paid for the relevant product
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data, or opportunity
  • We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, courier delays, supplier shortages, pandemics, or government action

Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, decline future orders, or restrict your access to the site if you breach these Terms, misuse our services, or behave abusively toward our staff. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Closure does not affect orders already in progress or our right to retain records as required by law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will always show the latest version. Material changes will be notified through the site or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by New Zealand law. The courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of NZ Roids.
